Do you ever have those days where you watch the clock and find yourself counting down the hours until your child’s bedtime? Some mom’s might feel guilty but I know we have all been there. How could we not? Not all days are roses and sunshine. I will say this, not once but many times, “You are not alone! You are not a bad mom.” Please if you are reading this and feeling awful it’s okay! There are so many factors that make up a day and so many things that can be difficult or stressful. It is very challenging to always stay positive and energized. It’s only human to feel defeated or down.
We are not perfect, No Mom is Perfect.
There have been several days where I was excited to see that it was only 1 hour until bedtime. This doesn’t make me a bad mom. This just means I need some “me” time. I believe balance is key. All moms need to divide their time between kids, husband, friends, family & themselves. When you have this balance you feel more complete.
I will say this, if you were counting down the hours until your child’s bedtime you might want to plan on something for yourself after the kids are in bed. We all deserve to have some relaxation! My favorite is a bubble bath and wine, but some other ideas are crossword puzzles, a book or a tv show.
Please comment and let me know your go-to stress reliever. It is important to take time for yourself and unwind. Then you will feel refreshed for the following day.
